Welcome!

"To live remains an art which everyone must learn, and which no one can teach." ~Havelock Ellis

Every once in a while you find yourself needing some help patching up the bumps and bruises you receive while wending your way through life. A friend or a family member becomes a source of support and you manage to bandage your hurts and pick yourself up, ready to tackle a new day. But then there are those times when it seems your problems are too big, too unwieldy to be solved in a discussion with friends or during your daily run. At those times, mental health therapy with a licensed therapist can be the key to eventually finding peace, balance, and a clearer outlook on life and your place within your environment.

As a mental health therapist, day in and day out, I'm usually attempting to assist my clients to locate in themselves a sense of clarity and emotional cleansing through the mediums of talk and play therapy. In a therapy session, one is faced front and center with personal struggles - pride, anxiety, and ego, to name but a few. To many, that doesn't really sound like a fun way to spend an hour of the day. And, honestly, it isn't always fun. But it is almost always a chance for growth and development.

As a therapist, I know that problems don't get solved by ignoring them. The only way to find resolution and peace is to face them head on, eye-to-eye, "mano y mano." And then, I also know that personal pains almost never completely disappear, they evolve to match one's current experiences and future possibilities. Therapy can enable you to weather the intermittent storms and come out the other side refreshed and ready to face the challenges ahead.
I wholeheartedly encourage people who are feeling a bit lost and untethered to seek out counseling to regain that sense of balance and trust in self that they’ve misplaced. Thank you so very much for taking the time to get to know a little bit more about me and I wish everyone luck on their journey.
